Differently-abled, not dis-abled

 

Maryanne Wolf, EdD, the author of "Proust and the Squid," speaks eloquently in this video and is a must-see for any parent worried about the future for their child with dyslexia. She stresses that the dyslexic brain is not dis-abled, but is exquisitely talented in areas society often fails to grasp. But armed with the knowledge of their child's potential, parents are much better suited to help.
